Pros

Very technical company. Great engineers. Everyone is enthusiastic. What we do is technically hard and the challenge motivates people. Hazelcast has the most widely used In-Memory Data Grid - and its use has grown by more than 400% in the last 3 years. So this feels good.

Cons

Being a distributed company we don't always see each other as much we would like. But we are all in Europe so we can all attend team standups and are about 3 hours apart in timezone at most. Although there are two Hazelcast Dev Days each year, a week where all engineers come together and co-work. Project X is a highlight.

Pros

Hazelcast has been a great place for me to start my career in Enterprise Technology Sales. I genuinely feel like I'm making an impact and my proximity to the whole sales cycle is an added bonus. The Technology is trusted within the java community, proven to work with seemingly endless use cases, and we have a very hands-on engineering team that does a great job with each release. I have enjoyed working with my managers and co-workers, and overall think that I have experienced tremendous personal and professional growth during my time here.

Cons

I do think that there is room for improvement, however, and believe that there could be a more established and process-oriented training program for entry level employees.
