Pros

-they offer great resources for members to utilize -continued education to sharpen your coaching skills

Cons

-there have been so many changes and expectations that are frustrating to navigate -they expect way too much for so little pay and no benefits -this role is so taxing on your own mental health... many of the members that you see aren't a good fit for coaching, so you're also filtering a lot of members for therapy and navigate really heavy mental health conversations that aren't within the scope of coaching -feedback isn't delivered live, it's all put in a spreadsheet that's clearly input by automation

Surviving Headspace

Pros

They make WFH feel like a cool prison sentence alternative with potty break times.

Cons

My mental health is in the worst state (so interesting!?) It’s not a job I can do anymore. Remote working from home money isn’t even worth any of it. Constantly questioning their morals and integrity. All the leadership and management still remaining are desperately clueless yes men. There is no one advocating for frontline coaches anymore.

Pros

Coworker support is probably the best thing to come out of my time here.

Cons

The company listed "Seek Truth Speak Truth" in their company values, but that couldn't have been further from the truth. They took away unlimited PTO, then they dramatically reduced perks like Wellness Benefits, merit raises and time to attend ERG all while quotas (sorry....metrics) went up up up. Middle management started leaving (like rats on the Titanic) and then there first layoff came...then the second. There's a lot of smoke and mirrors being used and it seems the last thing that Headspace is concerned about is their employees mental health...ironic, isn't it? This isn't a company that is about mindfulness...it's about going public and making all they can for the upper echelons of the company. VERY disappointing.
