Was great before the merger

Pros

When I started with the company I thought I was dreaming. The benefits were amazing, the pay was great (depending on the state you live in) and the people were incredible. However it feels like the goal is to boot the Ginger side out the door. The practices are very unethical. The lay offs forced dozens of therapists to abandon their clients because they were immediately locked out of their systems with no warning. I don't think leadership has any idea how to manage a company otherwise they would have been very profitable. I could not ethically work for this company anymore, and that breaks my heart because I loved this job more than anything until the merger.

Cons

Poor leadership, lack of communication, cares more about profit than the well being of the members they serve

Pros

Good health insurance and most people are nice. PTO is unlimited.

Cons

PTO might be unlimited, but it's next to impossible to get to use your time off, especially when you want or need it. They changed things so that you basically have to ask off a year in advance to get it, and even then it's hit or miss. They say they want your feedback or to know your opinions, but they honestly don't. You'll be labeled argumentative or something equally negative for speaking up if you do. They used to put out surveys to check the pulse, but if it came back something other than what they wanted, they would conveniently forget to tell us the results of the survey. Otherwise they'd try to twist the results to something they preferred, and then get angry when we'd say how we couldn't believe the results were what they said. The upper management is constantly getting big ideas for changes or new projects, but they don't listen to the coaches for what will work or what is needed. So none of it works and everyone just gets overloaded. Then they blame the coaches for it failing. The upper management and sales teams are also doormats for the companies that buy Ginger as a product. This means coaches and the support team get yelled at a lot because members aren't getting what they were told to expect or we're getting blamed for their needs not being met when that was a service we never offered. Then the upper management plays dumb. They keep asking for more and more from us. They want us to work with more and more members at the same time and keep us to a higher and higher quality of service, but they are giving us less and less support and they are telling how great we did one second and then giving us low grades suddenly on our QAs from out of nowhere. I've seen coaches crying and it's not right. There also used to be a place you could go to submit suggestions. They got rid of it without telling anyone. I don't think they plan on replacing it. There also is no true way to make a complaint about a problem if you have one and don't want to go through a manager. You can only move upward if you know someone high up or who is connected to someone high up. Otherwise, you will never get a promotion higher than shift lead. Possibly not even that if you aren't liked by the wrong person. Discrimination has started running rampant.

Pros

Amazing Facilities. Excellent Staff. Exciting Mission

Cons

Lack of true investment and extreme shortsightedness around growing the consumer side of the global brand Marketing and Content (outside of app) has truly taken a nosedive over the last 2 quarters
