Pros

NEWLY switched to Employee Owned. If you are a hard worker and want to be rewarded for your contribution, this is the place for you. Employees here feel like they can make a difference, and that passion will create a better culture for the future, and more success for our clients and the company, and in turn… more success for our shared owners! Lots of new leadership with a passion for making things better (for internal and external customers of Healics) but “NEW’ to Healics, so still working through operationalizing the plan for making things better… If you have the patience, input, and dedication to be a part of this journey from the ground up, jump on! Client-facing teams (wellness and clinics) – dedicated to the client’s goals and huge advocates for them and the participants who benefit from Healics services.

Cons

Healics is becoming a new company between the merger and acquisition a few years ago, becoming an ESOP recently, and new leadership. There are changes happening. If you like the status quo or a stagnant workplace that will just tell you what to do – this is not your jam. Deep roots of a past toxic culture. Just my perception, but there was little psychological safety in the past creating distrust among coworkers and fear-based workplace culture. Again, just my perception, but some employees have been burned by that past and are struggling to find an openness for change right now maybe for the fear of being burned again. Just be prepared to take care of these employees and offer them grace for the past they have been through because they have fought hard to make Healics what it is today. Cross-collaboration seems new to this culture, so it feels disjointed at times, but the need for it is recognized, and action is being taken to fix this.

Pros

Recent transition to an employee-owned company and new leadership as of 2021 who seem to want to change things. You'll work with talented and passionate people. Great stepping stone for someone getting started in their career or new to the industry and interested in wellness or employee health.

Cons

Old leadership created a toxic culture that is hard to change - people are set in their ways or have felt burned and therefore don't have trust that new leadership can make meaningful changes. Communication is a big area for improvement. Would expect benefits and culture to be more reflective of what we sell to customers.
