Nepotism runs rampant at Healthfuse. It stems from the top and is reinforced down through the chain of command. This culture stifles creativity and creates a hostile work environment. If you are a family friend or relative your will thrive here. If not, stay far away. Throughout the interview process they made many references to the culture, company structure, and future opportunities. They painted a very flattering picture of the company before I accepted my offer. After being with the company for a little over a year, it seems as though all they have to offer are empty promises and a culture that falls far short of professional.

Pros

The location, in an up and coming area of downtown, was definitely a plus. Also a plus was the young staff at Healthfuse. It was easy to get along with most and the culture was good for those fresh out of college.

Cons

Expectations were difficult to achieve. With only 5,000 hospitals in the US, it's nearly impossible for three people to each get five leads week after week. The open floor plan, which was an attempt at hipness, was not conducive to business, particularly cold calling. ("I'm sorry ma'am, could you repeat that? I apologize, there's three other people in a 10 foot radius who are also on the phone, with no walls. Oh, you're no longer interested in scheduling an appointment?) I could go on for a while, but I'll bite my tongue...
