Pros

Meet people from all over the world, with different needs and experiences. I feel really good when I have helped a customer over a major hurdle or solved a problem. Developing a good working team of managers and staff you can depend on is key. Hertz gives a good framework for learning and developing people. We are--without a doubt--the leader in our business.

Cons

Car rental is a seasonal business. When it is busy, it is really busy. It can seem overwhelming at first. When there is not a good flow of communication among employees and managers at a location, it does not go as well.

Cons

Unorganized company, extremely low pay, work much harder than what you are being paid for. High over turn. If you don't make quota sales they fire you

Pros

Hertz has a training program that allows employees to move up in the company quickly. You can become a branch manager in as little as 90 days. The bonus plan as well as vacation days are generous (more than most companies.) In training, they prepare you for real life situations and support you all along the way. I have been very pleased with my experience at Hertz.

Cons

Sometimes the days can get long with customers, but again, Hertz has a rigorous training program that equips everyone on how to deal with difficult customers. Since customer service is a priority with Hertz, they make sure everyone knows how to handle situations professionally.
