Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Transparency is one of our values and we are particularly focused on sharing as much information that’s available as possible. We appreciate that often the pace at which our business moves can be challenging for all involved. And as a rapidly growing startup, we move fast. This also means that we have aggressive goals that trickle down into all parts of HiBob. While it’s never easy to part ways with any staff, it’s especially important that the right fit be established for both employees and HiBob. Not everyone feels comfortable with the pace we move at, and performance is where discomfort typically shows. Like all growth focused businesses, we closely monitor performance, it’s the only way to work towards goals, and in sales, that’s no different. As with all businesses and sales organizations, a lack of performance must be addressed.

Pros

The colleagues are so nice to work with

Cons

Everything. Its shambolic. No room for growth. Commission structure and target are so unrealistic that barely anyone hits them. If you’re a POC, you will never feel welcomed. Quiet firing on a mass scale. Everyone is basically gone or leaving. This company does not deserve to hit IPO…

Thank you for sharing feedback on your experience with HiBob. While harsh, we acknowledge that your experience is unique and respect that. We’ve built our brand on a foundation of diversity and inclusion, and hearing that you don’t feel welcome is a genuine concern for us. We are a diverse team and are constantly hiring to grow in diversity. To add, career development is just as important, and we have had 6 promotions in the London BDR team in the last month alone. Our commission structures are based on a fair and equitable model. A reality of being part of a sales team is that sales targets are often challenging and based on larger organisational goals and market dynamics. Hiring and letting people go isn’t easy, and it’s not what any company, let alone HiBob does, without understanding exactly what the determining factors are that led to each decision. Fit is an important part of building strong teams and a strong business. It does, however, happen that fit is something that must be tried and tested before finding what works best for all concerned.
