Horrible Workplace

Pros

Nice office, nothing more to say.

Cons

Shouting in the hallways Walking out of meetings and slamming doors Taking credit for others’ achievements An endless line of disconnected and amateur managers Demanding 12–14 hours of work per day Requiring work on weekends Lots of politics Lots of gossip and mudslinging An unprofessional work environment Entire teams bringing zero value but making a lot of noise about tech innovation and AI Appointments and promotions based on friendship and politics Hiring low-level staff without a proper, professional process Micromanagement at the highest level — three status meetings a day! And more and more… And the peak: a team-building evening at the office with pizza and beer — that employees had to pay for.

Pros

Office is nice diverse work environment free breakfast and snacks

Cons

Workload is insane The is an air of anxiety as the moment you make a mistake, the blame game begins. A culture of throwing people under the bus. Isreali leadership think its ok to post genocidal talk on their personal linkedin posts. Now I am very neutral at work when it comes to the whole conflict. But when you go on your linkedin and see leadership constantly posting about the conflict and practically justifying the brutal violence being done to another group of people you really have to question whether this is a company you want to be working for.

Firstly, we’re so glad to hear that our commitment to diversity left an impression on you during your time at HiBob. We pride ourselves on building a welcoming work environment where everyone feels like they belong. Secondly, regarding workload, we acknowledge that life at a company like HiBob can be challenging at times. We have a bold vision and big goals, and we hire top talent to help us achieve them. While we do expect a great deal from our people, we also provide opportunities for career development, and wellness benefits to help them maintain the right balance. We hope that your time at HiBob was a time of growth, as it is for so many Bobbers. Finally, to your third point, we understand that political differences can lead to friction in the workplace. No company can be held responsible for personal LinkedIn posts, and anything that employees choose to say on personal accounts remains in their personal capacity. Given that you found the workplace to be a positive one, we assume that the conversations you object to did not occur while at work. However, many of our Israeli colleagues have been personally impacted by the events of October 7th and their aftermath. If the tone of their personal social posts seemed strong at times, it is worth bearing this context in mind. Most importantly, we’d like to thank you for your time at HiBob, and we wish you the very best for your next career move.

Pros

the product is good and is very well perceived in the market

Cons

management really need leadership training URGENTLY. they bark orders as if a whole team works for them, rather than inspire and treat each other with respect. they want to pride themselves on being inclusive and pro-diversity when in fact they expect everyone to work and behave in the exact same way to the point that manager actually tell employees to be more like so and so!!! never in my professional life have i encountered a more disrespectful management team.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. If you are a current employee, we would strongly encourage you to speak to a member of our people team as this is not the environment that we want to have. We are investing in our people more than ever, which include continuous manager training and team events. We appreciate that we have grown a lot and this has caused some growing pains as we have grown to over 750 people in just over 5 years. Our Bob Balance days are quarterly events designed so that the whole business downs tools for a long weekend, in addition to annual leave and time off. We also have regular surveys where we create action plans and our Bob Balance Days were a result of listening to the voice of our people.
