Pros

The entire company is well-led and well-organized from the top down, which leads to efficiency and camaraderie within each clinic and between clinics. The EMR is the best I've seen. Because we don't hire out of desperation, everyone on the team can not only pull their weight professionally, but can be a fun, engaging, respectful, supportive coworker as well. Professional development opportunities abound and they are often run in-house, which usually makes them well organized and no-cost to the employee.

Cons

Reimbursement in the state of Rhode Island is notoriously low. Perhaps if you can survive here as a private practice, you can survive anywhere, which may be why we are growing so quickly into southeastern Massachusetts.

Pros

Many opportunities to grow as a therapist, teacher, mentor, and leader. Highbar prioritizes supporting your growth and goals with different pathways they offer. The culture is fun and makes everyone feel comfortable and pushes you to be your best for your teammates and your patients.

Cons

Not a drawback, but it’s important to be comfortable with change. At Highbar, we’re always adapting and evolving to provide a people-first culture and the best care for our patients.

Pros

I have been extremely impressed with the range of PD opportunities, allowing me to explore many interests and evolve. I've been able to pursue advanced manual therapy techniques and dry needling certification. I am grateful for the mentorship and support of my clinic director and beyond, Highbar leans into supporting you as an individual - you never feel like a number, People are kind, and care deeply about each other, their patients and the profession. I have appreciated the flexible schedule and genuine respect for myself and a work-life balance.

Cons

Documentation is always a burden in health care - however, Highbar's recent transition to using AI (through Prompt) has been great and I no longer do notes at home.
