Pros

Pays higher than most call centers, easy work, and work from home opportunities. Day one benefits.

Cons

Quota needs to be met for you to work from home. Strict attendance policy. Will hire anyone that walks through the door. Upon hire your job duties are not clear at all until your last week of training. Training was awful so many things were taught on the programs and the destinations but not how to succeed. I was told in simple terms upon hiring “You are booking guests reservations and tours. It is super easy to meet the quota because you’re calling guests who already bought packages.” Then comes the first week off training I was told it’s a sales job and you have to meet 5 min of bookings per day or else you are eventually fired. To book is not simple when it comes to availability and calling guests out of the blue. The kicker, they tell you it’s a work from home job, the only way to work from home is if you’re meeting quota and you have ZERO strikes on your attendance. The attendance is super strict. You get benefits from day one but won’t have anything to secure them until maybe the 2nd week if not the 3rd week. I felt like they sold me in to this job and felt tricked for accepting. Only reason why I am leaving is because I do not want to have to stress about being fired if I don’t perform well enough one day out of the week and won’t be able to transfer for 6 months.

Pros

The Hilton team member hotel rates were great. Not sure if they're contributing to 401K again after they took that away during covid.

Cons

Hilton may have been voted one of the best places to work in the US, but HGV certainly is not. The leadership is awful and only look out for their own best interests. They definitely don't reward employees for great work - promotions are not based on performance but rather how long you've been with the company. Projects are always springing up last minute and everyone works in such a scramble, and never as a team. Managers take credit for the work you did. False promise are consistently made. Oh and I was paid much less than the industry average for my position. Basically, I'm happy to be out of that toxic environment.
