Pros

The hospital truly cares about the surrounding communities and the individuals it serves. Management is willing to objectively listen to employee concerns and proactively works to maintain a positive work environment. They are extremely transparent about changes and decisions being made.

Cons

Hard to think of any, except that the atmosphere and the people here make you want to do more and sometimes that leads to doing too much.

Pros

Holyoke Medical Center is a small, yet growing health system providing culturally sensitive, high quality care. There is a sense of community among employees who work together towards a common goal: high quality, cost efficient care. Holyoke Medical Center offers opportunity for growth through educational and degree reimbursements and clinical ladder programs. The company seeks out various opportunities to engage the community, through free community dinners, walks with a doctor, and health information sessions on various topics. The benefits package is very good and offered at a lower cost than neighboring healthcare facilities.

Cons

Like any organization there can be issues that are raised; however, the administration takes an active role to conduct annual employee engagement surveys and work to implement new strategies to improve system operations, communications, and morale.
