Pros

They try to work with your schedule. The clients.

Cons

They call you constantly, never adhere to availability, they’ll email you what shifts need filled but as soon as you try to take one then they’ll say that someone else took it. They also don’t care if you’re in school, they’ll call you anyway. Management is inconsiderate and rude.

Pros

Best part was the relationships w the clients and families. Supportive management. They offered plenty of classes and training.

Cons

A lot of driving and very low pay. I didn't get enough hours unless I would work overnights and days.

Pros

Home Instead is great if you're at the beginning of your working life or nearing the end because the work itself isn't so backbreaking. My clients were all pretty nice to me and we got along well over the 3 years I worked for HISC. The company also worked well with my school schedule.

Cons

Expect to stay at minimum wage forever with no benefits. No opportunity to move up in the company
