Pros

HomeServe in the whole was a fantastic place to work. They had great benefits, amazing people and plenty of opportunity for progression. They also offer lots of training to support future aspirations.

Cons

They do not pay competitively and your work is not rewarded accordingly. The end of year review process is completely broken meaning you and your team mates who work hard get put into a box without even having the opportunity to explain how you feel you performed. As for the objectives they always change through the year as the goal posts move but your score is based on this outdated process. The SLT all point fingers at each other and it’s always someone else’s fault rather than being coordinated with actually fixing problems. Once you’ve given everything and they no longer need you they will tap your shoulder offer you cash to just walk away from employment. Your job is never safe!

Pros

There are no positives about homeserve now!!

Cons

The company may look like its doing well from the outside but try asking someone who’s either working there or left how they were made to feel..Homeserve doesn’t care about the people who do the daily calls as they just interested in making things “easier” for the customers at any cost. The workers have no say and are made to work in an environment that says if your face fits the job ie you are in the inner circle you are in. There is zero opportunity for part timers and regardless of time served your in a trap..its either this or leave. The life has been sucked out of homeserve there is no postives left to mention. The marking system is harsh for calls and you will always fail on something as they use a “randomiser” to select calls but if “they”want you out then they will find a way. Think twice about joining as you will be trapped as its very hard to get ahead. People are leaving all the time..this is not a good place to work. Homeseve is full of families who get each other jobs an make sure they get each other into good positions before anyone else is considered. Department heads and other people in higher positions are sitting drinking champagne when the daily workers are told there is no money for pay rises or bonuses.

Hi, Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review. We work really hard to take into account employee feedback and always try to do our best to act upon it. Significant effort was put into ensuring everyone was safe during the pandemic and we sought extensive feedback before moving to our current hybrid model. In terms of Quality Assurance we have a very robust and transparent model which is independently reviewed to ensure fairness and consistency throughout. I'd love to get the opportunity to speak to you to get your feedback on your experience with HomeServe - it would be great to understand and potentially resolve the issues you've outlined in more detail. Thanks Gareth Hanmer Head Of Contact Center
