Pros

Sales and marketing are a different company to the rest of the business

Cons

Service operations and Customer relations are run by a passive agressive meglomanic with control issues.

Absolutely express a view, make a personal attack on a leader if that is your thing but make sure you get your facts right and make your review an honest one. When you don’t do this, you forfeit your right to get a reasonable and reasoned response.

Pros

Great IT director - she's very open minded and good with people. She's an effect foil to the marketing oddities and the emotional excesses of their leaders Pay is OK and there's share save but share value has moved around dramatically over the years.

Cons

Bit of a zombie culture - ok if you're happy to go along with the CMO's view of the world (latest fad from a text book) but gets a bit wearing. Best not raise any ideas that go against the flow.....unless you're thinking of the next job. UK CEO isn't very visible and the business is run by the CMO. A lot of power vested in one person. Lot of key jobs filled with friends or past colleagues which makes it hard to get things changed - real group think.

Thank you for the review. IT has grown and developed as a department over the last few years, this was necessary to support HomeServe as a dynamic and fast-paced business. I’m disappointed to read that you would advise against suggesting ideas, I’d like to know more about this. As an Executive Team, we make it our business to be as open and approachable as possible, we sit in open plan offices and have introduced a number of engagement tools for that very reason, monthly Big Conversations, all-company Cascades and Customer First. HomeServe has seen some great People-led changes. I’d be happy to discuss any of this with you further.

One of the worst

Pros

overall salary package is fair, reasonable working environment, onsite parking and organised events

Cons

Constant changes, poor line management and process, Say they do one thing when they actually do another, staff are not valued and poor development opportunity, no such thing as work life balance as it's not believed in, Nothing actually gets done , too many committees and not enough empowerment for staff to actually do the job.

Thank you for the review and I'm really sorry that you had such a bad experience working at HomeServe. I don't know the entire context for your opinions but I am certain that staff are valued. If you'd like to contact me and share a bit more detail then I'd be happy to have a chat. Good luck with your career. Cheers, Greg
