Pros

I have worked for several large insurance companies in management roles over the last 20 years - and I can say, without exception, that Homeserve is the best company to work for. From the facilities (little things like free parking, free tea/coffee etc are often overlooked!), to the values, to the clear direction and goals - but, most importantly, focus on the Customer. My role involves looking at the business through the eyes of the Customer, and giving feedback - both positive and negative, to improve current processes, and to highlight areas of high effort. No other company does this - has management and staff who live by these values, and who have invested so much in technology that is specifically designed to improve the CX. Keep up the good work. Consistency and innovation are key

Cons

Nothing major - just keep listening to the Customer facing staff - they often have all the answers you need to improve

Thanks for taking the time to post a review. We’re really happy you’re on board with our values and you feel our People are also. We’re on an exciting journey at HomeServe and our culture is a big part of that. Hopefully you’ve managed to attend a Big Conversation or a daily Customer First session, each of which help us to learn how we can have the biggest impact for our Customers.

Pros

It's not just a saying or a thing or a nice to do at Homeserve to put the customer first, it's the norm. It happens every day, it's BAU. The management aren't bosses, they're leaders and drive from the front, whilst not being up in the clouds and being 'normal' 'approachable' people, where else can you get a 1-2-1 with the CMO? They look after the staff brilliantly well. Yes it's based in Walsall and yes it's not the most high tech of offices and yes it's not a glamorous industry, but the people are first class and the way of working puts other companies to shame.

Cons

There could be more training/development for middle line managers to help them really excel and flourish and the facilities whilst are lovely and have been updated, are still a bit dated compared to the market leaders we're beating in reviews! Glassdoor are muppets.

Pros

They are great for customers and the way they want to keep customers is honest, that's were it ends. They know how to sell.

Cons

Mind games with staff, pick you up and drop you when it suits them, treat you like your disposable, and expect you to cower in fear, many of us are emotionally beaten by all the indirect bully tactics. This is senior management in Walsall especially through to all managers.

Hello, My name is Aaron Ali and I joined the Banbury team as Head of Customer Deployment a couple of weeks ago. First of all I’m really sorry that you are feeling the way you are. We spend so much of our life at our place of work and its my and the teams responsibility to make that time here as easy and pleasing as possible. It seems we haven’t done a great job of that in the past and this is one of the reasons I have moved over from the Walsall team to here. I’m pleased that you recognise that Homeserve is great for our Customers but I’m determined that this is no different to the way we treat our People particularly in our Banbury site. I would be very willing to meet with you to talk through your concerns. It would be a good opportunity to share some of the work we are doing to put things right but also get your feedback on what else we should consider to make Homeserve Banbury the great place to work I know it can be. It was tough in Walsall a few years ago too and a lot of hard work went in to turning that around, I’m sure with the same energy from all of us we can do the same here. Best Regards Aaron
