Pros

Decent salary was it for me.

Cons

Subtle bullying club. If you don’t fit in they find a way to push you out. Not really room for individuality

Pros

Many good people, although not recognised as such often enough. Products can be very useful and intention to deliver excellent service to customers often fulfilled

Cons

Senior management brought in during last 5-8 years have not delivered. Too many talk a lot and don’t deliver what they promise with the only consequence being middle and junior management being under more pressure or let go…and disintegration of a once excellent atmosphere/culture and environment

Pros

Fully stocked van. Colleges who I work with are all great people

Cons

I believe homeserve used to be one of the greatest places to work. However unfortunately since the introduction of the new contracts for the engineers 3 years ago it is quickly becoming one of the worst. While I was luck to retain my quite well paid salary others were not which I believe causes some resentment and sometimes rightly so it is a bit strange being paid more then my colleagues for the exact same job. However the main thing I believe is now everything is done for the people at the top of the organisation examples include shareholders dividends have constantly increased by at least 10% year on year. Senior management receiving wage increases of 4% and bonuses of 97% of salary all while the people on the front line and contact centres receive nothing what happened to the homeserve family where we all shared in success of the company? Engineers are leaving so fast they can not replace them quick enough which makes it harder for those who have stayed on to see if things can change back to how they used to be, non of which is helped by the really poor systems which have been introduced by the same people at the top who have no idea what it’s like to use them. Morale I would say is at an all time low. You can do better
