Pros

I have worked at HomeServe over a period of 6 years and all I can say is things have changed a great deal since I first started, and definitely for the better. The People I work with all care about each other and our Customers. Everyone is keen to do the right thing by each other and that then means our Customers hopefully get the best experience possible. The goals of the company are clear to all, as is how we will get there and all People including Directors and management are keen to see these goals achieved. Overall HomeServe really is a great place to work.

Cons

Nothing, everything is moving in the right direction.

Pros

EVERYTHING is about the Customer. I mean everything. In my role I am aware of a lot of our new ideas, initiatives and propositions, and of course the commercial side of things matter, but the big questions asked are 'why' it will be good for the Customer and 'how' will it be effortless for the Customer. It makes me feel very confident in the products and services we offer because of how hard we make them work for the Customer. It makes for a great environment to work because the staff are enabled to make them work harder for the Customer, as the main question isn't about how much money the idea will make, so we can think 'what service do we want?', and make it happen.

Cons

I find when some great initiatives are started, often to help boost engagement even further, there is a lot of drive and noise at launch and immediately after, and then they can sometimes loose steam. I'm sure the senior management know what is going on, and they are still doing good, but it would be good to get the odd update.

Pros

Culturally unique - customer-led, proactive, positive, kind, open, inquisitive, ambitious, funny Top exec - so good to really respect, trust and believe in people at the top. Interesting - plumbing, gas and electrics maybe doesn't sound the most interesting business, but it is - right at the heart of many things that matter to people, keeping their family and homes protected, and positioned at a quite unique intersection of financial services, DIY and home energy. Lots of stuff is happening too as a result of smart/connected homes that means the market is changing. People - the place is fully of very capable, motivated, energetic people with bags of humanity and integrity - typically down to earth Lancastrians or Brummies.

Cons

Traffic a bit rubbish getting to and from each day
