Pros

Development is given if you are close to management. Promote from within. Some brilliant people there… few and far between.

Cons

When people are promoted no support is given leaving incompetent first level supervisors. Senior management can’t implement something as easy as a new phone system. Promotions given to those who play the game. Relatively low pay for the job compared to other companies. Double standards from management on various topics. Rumours of people getting fired unjustified constantly. Very high attrition.

Mangers making decisions without asking the actual engineers and when it goes wrong we have to pick up the pieces and lack of communication in general throughout the company
