Pros

HomeServe has a real family feel where the majority of staff pull together. We genuinely care about about our people i.e. People Charter. I think the most important thing that I love about working here is the fact we genuinely do put the customer at the heart of everything we do.

Cons

The stigma attached relating to the negative publicity we had around the fine. Although this is the past and we have most definitely turned a corner it still hangs around when you speak to people outside the business. Regardless of this I am still proud to say that I work for HomeServe as I know this is not who we are. The stigma will go away we just need to keep pushing and doing the right things.

Pros

As an all weather water mains and service engineer Homeserve has become a great place to work over the past 2 year with changes which have benefitted the company and the engineer and most important the customer out of all the companies out there I choose to be employed by Homeserve . We get to interact with senior management on occasions I have a good manager we have all the equipment we need I am happy and would recommend as it is a great place to work

Cons

working in the rain and snow but still providing our customers with the service they deserve

Thank you for the review. I attended a breakfast meeting with our Water Supply Pipe engineers in Exeter this week - it was great to catch up with those guys and listen to their views. They were excited about the new gas leak detection equipment we've purchased. We've made some great changes recently, but we're always looking to improve even further for our People. Thanks for all the hard work keeping our Customers happy.

Pros

I have been here through the bad and the good times. Things have changed and there is no danger of going back to the old days. Some people are not happy with this, but this is the new world. The focus of the company is about effortless service. Also a lot of the products have been upgraded to ensure that a customer is covered for what they expect and not get caught out by clause xyz in paragraph xyz. The company actively finds ways to help customer even at its own expense through customer hardship funds. This is a great place to be and is against the trend in the UK service industry of a race to the bottom for lowest cost.

Cons

There are some behaviors that still need to be addressed. Also there is a vocal minority who seem hell bent on treating everything as a conspiracy against them. encourage these people to get on board or move them on. Some of the middle management team are still showing a lack of team work and only contribute to where the can be 'seen' rather than getting down and resolving issues.
