Pros

Offers a fair product to consumers. Smart and talented workforce overall.

Cons

The Execs revel in creating drama and chaos. More time is spent gossiping, playing games, and stabbing each other in the back than working.

Pros

Inclusive and collabrorative culture Excellent benefits and Paid Time Away policy Professional and polite atmosphere

Cons

Weak leadership - tend to micro-manage too often-too much A little obssessed with Great Place To Work certification - inauthentic. Leadership behaves like a very small company when they are an enterprise.

Great place if you play by the rules of your manager

Pros

Benefits are pretty decent and paid time away instead of paid time off is nice (that's IF your manager let's you use it). You can wear jeans every day.

Cons

The don't necessarily promote from within, at least not to the higher management positions. So the new people they bring in for these roles don't know anything about the company or their direct reporting staff and kinda fly by the seat of their pants and make tasks harder and more complicated than they should be. Instead of asking and learning, my new supervisor accused and was very demeaning to some of the people on the team. Favoritism is also a HUGE issue at HomeServe, so if you're OK with that, then you should apply. They say they want to help you succeed and move up within the company, but that's only if you suck up to management and work an insane amount of time outside of normal work hours. Each department seems to only be able to help one person at a time, so of course they choose their favorite. Team work is encouraged, but then you are set up against your teammates. It's like being set up for failure, day in and day out. The amount of anxiety I feel on Sunday evenings is ridiculous and I can't wait to get out of this company. Every single event that they put on involves alcohol, even during the workday.
