Not diverse/ All top management are Caucasians Pay is way below the average Overcharged medical insurance costs to their employees. Don’t know if was by error or not but Hornblower had to pay back big settlements to their employees. And back in 2013 Hornblower subsidiary Alcatraz had to pay a big settlement to their employees for the same reason. Cultural is horrible No incentives for loyal employees that are not management. 401(K) is horrible, you couldn’t retire from this company. Matching is below 4%.

Pros

Great product. Location ideal for commuting. There are amazing people working there.

Cons

Code of ethics?? Faux family environment. Lacking policy and procedures. Major trust, and communication issues between management and team. Compensation well below market value. Lack of concern for overall team wellness.

You are working on a team that is undergoing a lot of change and I know it's not been easy. You've got to be frustrated to share this review on Glassdoor. I'd like to invite you to come see me and share your concerns -- even if you've done so before. I will personally see that your concerns are shared with Terry MacRae and that we work on those procedures and policies that all departments, but especially Accounting (!) should have. Pros

There are some great thing you can enjoy because the office is located at pier 3 and close to everything you can think of, shopping, eating, bars, tourist attractions, and Att ball park. Also as an employee you get to go on free cruises which is great and can even bring family members. Plus the office view is great and free valet parking.

Cons

Pay is extremely low and benefits are also below average. The offices are in much need of repair. Don't be surprised if you get rained on while sitting at your desk. The management is terrible and HR isn't much help. If you are bright and outgoing this isn't the place for you because they don't care what you think and don't think your ideas are worth anything.
