Management favors certain people. General manager in San Francisco port employs relatives and friends. Not chance or opportunity to do good work. Set for failure. Big gap of communication between management, sales and line employees.

Most of my colleagues are nice to work with; however, they may be hesitant to speak up or support you due to concerns about job security.

Cons

I have had a disappointing experience working at ANCHOR Studio of this company. The management (actually just the CTO, the one person team) often prioritizes short-term goals over employee well-being, leading to an unsustainable work-life balance. The compensation and benefits package falls short of industry standards, making it challenging for employees to feel valued. Furthermore, the leadership style and technical vision have not aligned with my expectations. Overall, I would caution potential employees to carefully consider these factors before joining the company.

Pros

Most of the people are well-intentioned. Working outside/on the water is great.

Cons

High-school level drama, politics, blatant sexism and homophobia. Inappropriate remarks and actions abound, younger female staff are frequently harassed by staff and customers alike. Schedules subject to change without warning, even for salaried staff. Overall chaos.
