Pros

Large hospital system. Able to move within. Management could be better across the healthcare field

Cons

No negotiation for salary, hours and pick up shifts are not good due to short staffing. Management is oblivious to night shift problems

Pros

Houston Methodist is pretty great with making sure to stay competitive with other hospitals in terms of pay, and their benefits are pretty good.

Cons

The department is such a mess, and the director shouldn’t be where she is currently. Seems like she never got in trouble for misdeeds made against staff due to being friends with the higher ups. But if you have a high turnover of staff in your department… maybe it should be investigated.

Houston Methodist employees should bring concerns and constructive feedback to management or to the HR representative at their location. Visit the myHR portal or find contact information in the Methodist Administrative Resource System (MARS) under Human Resources.
