Pros

Really good people. Smart kind and helpful people in every department. Good PTO and a good facility. I had a great opportunity to work autonomously which I value.

Cons

RTO. 4 days a week and soon to be 5. My team was scattered across the county and partially in India. So I come in 5 days a week to sit on a TEAMS meeting. The volume and intensity of the work is horrific. People can’t do their best work if they have to constantly run at 110% of capacity.

Pros

Huntington was about the people when I started there. In other words, when you take good care of people - internally as employees and externally as customers - the numbers take care of themselves.

Cons

CEO Steve Steinour came to Huntington from Citizens and brought his sociopathic brand of leadership with him. The shift in our culture, work-life balance, and ethical practices after his arrival was immediately evident. I managed for Citizens and Huntington under him and I would not recommend either until he moves on to his next unfortunate target.

Pros

The base pay is usually a little higher than most banks. There are opportunities to move up in the company though you may be delayed for a long time due to random things that make no sense.

Cons

I would give them 1 star, but I’m giving 2 because they used to be a great place to work. They used to focus on making this a great place to work for employees. Now they are poorly organized and every year they take away more people and resources, but want you to perform more for less than the year before. One day they informed us that we would now be covering multiple new branches for the same pay. They told us we had 24 hours to accept this or we would be unemployed, and wouldn’t qualify for severance. No warning or heads up. We just went to work one day and that was the conversation we had with management.
