Pros

-The people I directly work with -The office is clean -They still care about DEI (for now)

Cons

-Worked here for a long time. It has grown too big too fast. Now it's just another big bank. The great culture is dead. -Messaging from the top is out of touch with reality. "Collaboration" for the reason of RTO doesn't make sense for everyone. My team is spread out over multiple states with no more than 2 people in any one location. All my meetings are on Teams. We can only collaborate on Teams. -RTO policy keeps stating commitment to flexibility, but keeps becoming less flexible. Will be 4 days in office this fall. Anyone who was hired remote, but near office must go in. If you have children in school, they don't care. This change will cost me thousands of dollars in gas, parking, wear and tear, and childcare (if you can find it in such a short time), but there's no increase in compensation. -Full RTO in near future as well -Merit increases don't keep up with inflation -Dental plan is the worst, medical plan is not much better -Not really a good employer if you plan on being a parent and needing benefits to support a family

Going downhill fast

Pros

-Has grown and expanded quickly, buying out other banks.

Cons

-Huntington loves to boast about how well it's doing, and yet every year you will receive a sob story about how they don't have enough money to pay you enough to keep up with rising inflation. -This was once a great company to work for, before they cut several benefits for it's employees, got rid of incentives for those with perfect attendance, bonuses became a joke, and they started to restrict how/when you get to use your PTO. -They announced that- despite everyone being fully equipped to work from home- they want everyone to start working in the office in June, which is absolutely ridiculous in a post-covid world. Our pay isn't covering the cost of the extra time or cost of in-office work at all.

The top is too heavy

Pros

The traditional bank hours are a plus, and they offer decent benefits to their employees.

Cons

The entire culture is based on metrics. Every part of your day is a metric. The metrics are constantly changing to keep you chasing the goal, and you don't get the pay you deserve for the stress they bring. The upper management is always on you. There were times were we had to do some type of check in three to four times a day. It is a stressful and suffocating environment.
