Disappointing experience

Pros

The individual contributors on my team were excellent. Level 1 management was supportive and compassionate. Generally good benefits, incl PTO, LSA, sabbatical. Very flexible remote work. If you are local to HQ, they have happy hours, manicures, massages, parties, which is cute. If you’re far from HQ, sorry bout it.

Cons

Zero diversity in executive leadership. Layoffs. Lack of clear future direction. Too many products that essentially compete and cannibalize each other, and competing internal priorities for how to approach customers. Always touted “customers first” but threw CSMs under the bus in front of customers. Always touted “family values” and then laid off 1000 family members. It all felt very fake and hypocritical. Also agree with others who say pay is less than market value.

Pros

Pay and benefits are still pretty good for salaried people.

Cons

The Hyland software we knew and loved is gone. The Hyland culture has been killed for profits.

Pros

1. Remote work options provides lifestyle flexibility that you don't get at many other companies. 2. Opportunity to work on large and engaging projects 3. Many of the people at Hyland are helpful and nice to work with 4. Taxed Lifestyle spending account 5. Taxed Recognition Program 6. Standard medical and dental package

Cons

1. No career development 2. You are expected to know everything without being taught. Even if they say differently, you will spend most of your time doing things you were never trained on. 3. Management is disconnected from contributors and have no strategy for future development of resources 4. Generally overworked and underpaid with promotions being given very rarely 5. Nepotism: There's no getting ahead unless you are in the friend circle 6. You are not encouraged and generally not allowed to follow your curiosity to expand your skills. You will be placed in a category and boxed there. 7. All glory and leadership positions go to the head quarters in the US. There are no hopes of becoming a senior manager if you are located in the EMEA region. 8. Lagging in technology given to employees. Low performance Dell Laptops, poor quality screens and basic equipment.
