Pros

401K Match, the people, the office building was great but that obviously does not apply any longer, and the work/life balance.

Cons

Upper management fails to create and execute upon a plan for the future, it seems as if they don't know how to steer the company forward and US based employees take the hit through layoffs. Compensation is severely under market standards. Company culture is dead, though the C-Suite executives will try to convince you different. If you're an engineer, find a better company. This is a burning ship.

Pros

The employees were great people and were good to work with.

Cons

Bottom of the barrel pay and benefits. Upper management/Executives do not care about the employees at all. Bragged about having highest profits ever, only to lay off 140 people 2 weeks later to outsource jobs out of the country. The room for growth is very little if you stay there, only way to get ahead is to come from the outside.

Pros

Work life balance is good. Work from home in some instances. The overall atmosphere and culture of the company is positive (the same can't be said about the IT/Information Systems department though). Benefits are pretty good.

Cons

Management. At least in the IT/Information Systems department. Lots of favoritism, bias, and politics go into the decision making that ultimately hurts the employees. Most end up feeling underappreciated and get tired of the constant artificial roadblocks management puts in the way of getting work done and leave. Which results in more work to do with less people, which results in more unhappy employees who leave. Not to mention the pay is significantly under the local average and somehow the work life balance is supposed to compensate for that. Management is probably the primary reason I'd recommend a friend not apply and go somewhere else.
