Pros

It is a fun atmosphere to work in. My coworkers were all really awesome people, and I truly enjoyed working with them.

Cons

They claim to treat their employees as family, but you don't feel treated as such. You are expected to be flexible, and to drop everything for your project at a moment's notice if need be. They expect a lot out of you, but do not compensate accordingly.

Pros

Its fully remote. No talk of RTO. No one expects you to have your camera on. Very flexible with PTO.

Cons

We had thoughtful leadership, spontaneous celebrations, holiday gifts, merit-based raises, and camaraderie. But that’s all gone now. Since we sold out to PE it’s been a slow-motion demolition. Constant layoffs and reorgs have eroded any sense of stability or direction. Longtime employees whom carried deep institutional knowledge have been shown the door and replaced by cheaper labor overseas. Every department is stretched to the breaking point. Our future is hanging on a poorly built AI platform no one asked for despite it being technical and strategic mess. Meanwhile, the products that actually made us money were gutted. Not just the budgets, but the people who built and maintained them. We are all aboard the trend of tech companies selling ourselves to the highest bidder while PE drains us dry. Our new leadership is desperate to make us a Silicon Valley sweatshop for mid-west wages from 2003. I would not recommend for Americans, not that we have any jobs open for them anymore.

Pros

Work life balance, friendly people

Cons

-Low Pay -Poor training -Poor management -No ambition. Product is incredibly underwhelming but management feeds the kool aid. -People work here because the couldn’t cut it elsewhere. -Criminally boring. Nothing truly useful or exciting is being done at Hyland. If you want to coast by in your career and be a low performing and uninteresting corporate drone, Hyland is perfect. -Surprise Layoffs! But not really surprising, because nothing is really expected of you here anyways. With all of the innovation happening in the ECM market, Hyland is dragging behind. At its current rate, Hyland should not exist in 5 years.
