Pros

The only pro I can come up with is that I was paid promptly.

Cons

No room for advancement, issues with reverse discrimination, poor management (managers, as well as supervision), ineffective HR department, worked 50+ hours a week for over a year while remaining PT, while management stated no necessity for FT agents, very volatile and hostile work environment. I wouldn't recommend a position with ICF for anyone. It's a very stressful work environment, which has taken a toll on my physical and mental health.

Pros

Lots of really wonderful and intelligent coworkers; work gets done efficiently with a good team attitude. Larger company affords extensive expertise and tools to help get things done, and encourages collaboration across departments. Company growth provides opportunities for new projects and collaboration.

Cons

All about work; there are few company opportunities for socializing with coworkers, networking, and building relationships. Upper management all too preoccupied with bottom line, reiterating same tired messages at every all-hands meeting, while expending little energy to applying the company motto of "improving peoples' lives" to its own people. Work-life can often get out of balance if project is underbid and understaffed by management, and junior staff are the ones who suffer. Career advancement is difficult, especially for young people starting at the bottom. Doing great work is often not enough, need to show exceptional performance (usually translated to working extra hours) to be recognized and advanced. There's far too much of an attitude that junior staff are the workhorses of the operation, and therefore expendable and easily replaceable. Paid time off benefits are poor (3 weeks, but include sick time) and take many years of work before they can increase to a more reasonable amount.
