Pros

Cool people, lots of opportunity for stretch projects, great casual atmosphere, flexible schedules, interesting industry, respected leadership.

Cons

Usually the relationship with Fox and NewsCorp is a plus, but occassionaly it slows us down comparied to our start up neighbors.

Pros

Decent benefits, nice office ambiance. If you like video games then you will not be bored at IGN. If not think hard about going there.

Cons

Intense pressure that never seems to diminish no matter how hard someone has been working. Very poor planning and execution. Communication is frowned upon rather than being encouraged. Unidimensional approach to problem solving and obsession with fixing process problems by writing code which maybe completely unnecessary.

Working for IGN

Pros

It is a great place to work at if you love video games and the entertainment industry. There are many positions that most people can fit in because of the properties that IGN owns. A majority of the employees are hard-working people but at the same time they are very relaxed and not too business minded.

Cons

Moving up is hard because positions open and close really fast. Sometimes you don't know about the possibility of advancement until its too late or someone else has already taken that spot. Communication from senior management is a bit off and they seem more worried about budgets and cutting pay than motivating employees to work harder and thank them for their work.
