Pros

-unlimited pto if you feel comfortable asking for it

Cons

-no transparency with how company is doing -paid unfairly, recieved a $1k raise within my 2 years of working there -micromanaged -no collaboration with other departments -COO and CEO are not friendly or approachable, don't even say hi when you walk by -laid off 60 curriculum designers because "they didn't need them anymore" after they built all of the content for the product -non-existent culture

Pros

Employees are passionate about education

Cons

Literally everything else - COO makes all the decisions and is terrible at running a company. Everyone is scared of her. - Employees are EXTREMELY underpaid. EXTREMELY!!! All teams are being relocated to North Carolina so the company can pay lower wages. - Culture is awful. The CEO specifically said he doesn't want IXL to have a "culture," no fun events, hard to meet people, no free lunch or snacks, etc. - No transparency about what is going on with the company. - Mistreats employees.

Pros

great colleagues, collaborative group and people who are loyal to both the company and the customer; it's a great product

Cons

company is out of touch with what the market actually needs and wants; marketing has no education background and makes decisions without taking into consideration of the knowledge of many educators around them; curriculum team doesn't truly know who they are serving- out of touch with what teachers do in the classroom; upper management wants loyalty from everyone but gives none of that loyalty back to customers; salary is quite low in comparison to what they ask of you and is very low in comparison to the market
