Pros

Imagine Learning was an amazing place to work! The people are like family. Awesome new building with chill kitchens and break-room areas. (Table tennis, foosball, and Wii U are great). It's easy to get to know others and create friendships. The transparency and trust on company financials is great. Helps everyone know where we stand and how we can help. If you are a developer or in production, you have some of the best people to work with and around with a CTO that is nothing short of dazzling! I would love to come back one day and work here again.

Cons

There are definitely those that are so negative about nearly everything. They are poisoning the well. Why are they still there? It's no secret how negative they are. It hurts morale, and they influence others around them in a negative way. One department head (where a lot of the negative employees are) seems to always be on a witch hunt looking to place blame on anyone else if something goes wrong, rather than working together to find a solution. (CYA mentality)

We appreciate your review. It's tragic that a few negative employees can have such a negative impact on the work experience of others. We certainly don't condone the negativity or the witch hunt mentality. As the result of your review, we have started conversations to turn around the negativity.

Pros

This company has a great vision that it really believes in. The passion for helping kids shows in every decision and in the work everyone does, from content developers, to software engineers, to support, to management. It's clear why we're here and what's important. Beyond that, the company obviously cares about its employees. There's a bonus program, good benefits, monthly catered pizza day, weekly all-hands meeting with food, summer and winter events, company-wide conferences, and team activities. It's a pleasure to work here.

Cons

Sometimes direction can get bogged down in the latest developments. The focus on Agile/Scrum can lead to a lack of innovation. The open floor plan looks good on the outside, but makes development difficult with distractions and the feeling that one is always on display.

Pros

Great benefits. Wonderful Co-workers. Excellent Company Values. Enjoyable work environment.

Cons

The company no longer offers shares to employees. Employees are less invested in company success. Corporate structure and decision making are fragmented. Change is often made so that a manager can put their 'mark' on a position.
