Pros

Impinj is a company that has demonstrated excellence in all facets of our business. The technology is both established and strong, the business is thriving, the leadership is smart and well-coordinated, and the culture is one of a kind. It is a privilege being a member of the Impinj team!

Cons

Our challenges are where they should be - growth, scalability, and maintaining position as the market leader. We have clear vision and big goals. For those that thrive working in a fast pace culture, changing business environment, and have a winning desire - this is the place for you.

Not a suitable place for women careers

Pros

Smart and talented people, company products are trending well with the Internet of Things technology.

Cons

Very male-centric culture. Women professionals are treated more like decorations. A woman needs to be subordinate to his male peers, in a lot of aspects. They don't value women, period. If you are woman with ambitious perspectives, do not go there.

Impinj Response

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective and comments. Of course, it is great to see the "Pros" you have listed, but my focus in responding is on the "Cons" and in particular your perspective on gender diversity at Impinj. Impinj takes diversity seriously and has made good progress working on its own and with other Seattle tech companies to actively embrace and drive diversity. Along those lines, in 2016 Impinj was pleased to announce its support and partnership with Ada Academy, sponsorship of three participants in EverwiseWoman, and its ongoing work with WiRL. As with any alumni, I invite you to visit with me personally about your experiences. It would have been great to do so and to be able to address your views while you were here, but even after-the-fact you can be part of making Impinj a phenomenal company, and I hope you will accept my invitation to do so. Pros

If you keep a low profile you can work here as much or little as you like and have a have a relatively comfortable life.

Cons

Leadership consist of people not willing or capable to make decisions. Vision consists of "me too" phrases, a random walk from digital life to what was last shared as a vision of chained custody of an item. The company is far, if not years behind with the execution on any of these visions. The current software product has little value in the global market and ecosystem. The leadership lately believes it can drive proprietary solutions in a move to protect its business instead of winning through quality, performance and being customer centric. The internal say 'yes to a customer' is not lived and battles to keep things moving take all your cycles. The COO is hopelessly lost, the CEO should be focusing on silicon engineering and have competent leadership manage the business.
