Mediocre company with mediocre people

Pros

Unlimited PTO, decent work-life balance

Cons

Poor product culture following outdated methods to build products. PMs and engineers are very old school and disciplines outside of engineering and sales are not taken seriously. In fact, most departments apart from sales and engineering arent paid by industry standards, nor do they have career/growth paths within the company. Mediocrity and institutional knowledge are celebrated over and over again without leaving much room for growth and innovation. Upper management is mostly clueless of what's going on in the real world and put on a show of transparency.

Good people, poor product

Pros

Emphasis on culture, great people, good benefits, care packages, untracked PTO.

Cons

All of the emphasis about work life balance, but in reality it is non existent. The company pushes offerings but doesn't have enough employees to execute leading to a ridiculous number of hours worked. Management knows since we are required to fill out time cards. The teams do not have enough people to work to execute on their promises. In order to truly be successful and maintain customers after the sale happens, the company has to give their employees a break and practice what they preach. Although untracked PTO is a "benefit" there is so much work that if anyone on the team is out, the effects felt are tremendous.
