Once a Mission-Driven Company, Now Struggling Under New Leadership

Pros

Strong mission to improve access to healthcare — something I truly believed in. Excellent compensation and benefits, including free access to company services. Flexible work schedule and remote work options make it easier to balance personal and professional life. Talented, compassionate colleagues who genuinely care about helping others.

Cons

Recent management changes have created a toxic work environment. Upper leadership’s motives feel questionable, and the focus has shifted away from employee well-being. Many long-term, dedicated employees from the Doctor On Demand and Grand Rounds days are being pushed out or leaving due to burnout. What’s being done at the expense of employees’ mental health is truly heartbreaking.

It’s great to hear that our mission, benefits, and incredible team members stood out during your time. We would not be who we are today without our long term team members, and we remain committed to our mission to raise the standard of healthcare for everyone while promoting the well-being of our people. We take your concerns seriously and will share it with leadership. Thank you for all you contributed as part of the team.

Pros

Unlimited PTO, remote first workplace

Cons

Organizational changes, constant layoffs, people are always fearing they will lose their jobs. Overworked. There’s never enough time to do all the work that’s needed or requested. Clients are given a lot of leeway which means we are constantly changing things on the shortest deadlines. Leaders feel disingenuous and at the end of the day, only seem to care about what you can do to make them look good to their boss and what’s best for your career. Oh also career growth? Basically nonexistent. They promise things. But managers are waiting for you to quit. Nepotism is abound. Beware. Please save your sanity.

The experience you've described is not the one we want for our team members. We take your comments on change, bandwidth, and leadership seriously and are committed to fostering a culture of trust and collaboration. Your Manager or Talent Partner is available to provide support, and we encourage you to speak with them about this.

Pros

coworkers, remote culture, working with clients

Cons

IH is a company that speaks on diversity, but fails miserably. Look at the recruiting team, there's 1 Black woman and she's a coordinator! They had layoffs in May of 2022, then there have been consistent layoffs after that, from product teams to recruiting. Rumors say this company will be public soon so layoffs are bound to happen. First Doctor on Demand was made, then Included health was created, if you work here get out soon and fast! Good riddance

One of our core company values is "We Seek Diverse Perspectives," which is something team members and leaders bring into every day life at Included. We also consistently achieve industry-leading scores around belonging in our annual employee engagement survey. These metrics help us gauge employee sentiment and support with action-planning where improvement is needed. This focus on inclusion is core to how we operate.
