Pros

Grand Rounds has a smart, driven team that genuinely enjoys working together. The funny, charismatic CEO seems to care about the culture he's building and the people he's developing even while he keeps an eye on growth and revenue. The best part is the impact the company has on actual human beings--due to the strength of the company's physician network, which is amazing, I've seen diagnoses get reversed that have saved lives. That's a lot more satisfying than working for yet another storage company or online car scheduling service.

Cons

Lots to do and not much time to do it. But that's why you join a series A company in the first place--right?

Pros

-Changing the way 20% of the US economy works, at a basic level. High impact work -Mission driven culture -Great team. High performers. -Low ego

Cons

- Lots going on every day. If you're not comfortable with fast moving, quickly changing environments, may not be for you -SF location is lots of fun, but can be a commute depending on where you live

Pros

The company is trying to solve an interesting problem: identifying and implementing quality healthcare. When the author of parts of the Affordable Care Act (Bob Kocher at Venrock) invests in a healthcare company, it's a good sign that something interesting is going on.

Cons

As the company grows, roles are constantly changing -- flexibility is at a premium. The company has moved twice in the last year, but will be settling into long-term space in South Park / South Beach.
