Pros

Nice building and in general very nice people to work with. Benefits are average. Good central location for daily commute.

Cons

The company has taken its eye off of the most valuable asset a company can have - it's associates. Over the last several years IBC increasingly depends upon very expensive consultants, while letting go knowledgeable staff which causes a brain drain that impedes/creates chaos with the day-to-day business. The company has a senior leadership that is very detached from the real "pulse" of the associates and listens to consultants more than their FTEs.

Worst Job I Ever Had

Pros

Co-workers were nice, friendly and helpful. They really believe in the mission.

Cons

Sooooo political. Very tough culture to navigate. No work / life balance. Worked every Saturday for over a year and it really wasn't necessary. Manager was a bully. She would ease up to my employees to get information to use against me. Disrespectful culture. Tough to advance. Pay is not competitive - a clear indication of employee value.

Pros

Not much anymore. Some of the older non-management employees are helpful and good to work with.

Cons

Nepotism! Has a brat pack of executive referrals who got a job because their Daddies are politically connected. Management sucks! Bunch of no nothings! Prior education/work experience doesn't factor into getting a management position. All about who you know and networking to getting into the "club" of management positions. Sell yourself to the right person and your in. Change gets talked about a lot but change really means chaos. Simple things become complex, complex things become nearly impossible, and the spinning makes you dizzy. Nothing is efficient. Work life balance does not exist for most. If you have it someone is watching with envy and their sites are set on you as if you aren't working hard enough because you haven't sold your soul with you family and children like they have to fulfill their emptiness with their work accomplishments. It's also chicken a coupe!
