Pros

paid time off, 401k. above minimum wage salary, paid job training.

Cons

Feel like a robot on the phones. back to back calls, no time off the phone. stressful, screaming and yelling customers, Highhly micro managed environment. they will look for u in the bathroom. furthermore, management policies and incompetent, reactive environment causes more customer service nightmare thus resulting in higher call volumes.

Pros

Stay away from the Underwriting department. After Obamacare took affect, the department laid-off half the employees in this department. In 2013, they made every employee in the department "re-apply" for their jobs. A good group of people were laid-off after that year and morale went downhill since then. I once worked with managers who are now out of their management position and are senior underwriters instead. On the other hand, benefits are good. There is an entire cafeteria floor and free gym. So it really depends on the department you work in. Some departments are good, while others you need to stay away from.

Cons

Very conservative environment; Tend to pass on really good external candidates for internal hires
