Pros

I have to say this is my DREAM job! I work for a company, who doesn't just talk to the talk, they walk the walk. These leaders truly care, and they humble me and show me how to become a true leader. Organizations take the shape of their leaders-and I am blessed to have great leaders leading me to greatness. This company is going places, and I am on board to continue to follow this company all the way!

Cons

All is perfect working for this company.

WOW! So happy to hear that this is your dream job because we want it to be! Our leaders are simply human but really are dedicated to "walking the walk". We all will make mistakes but are willing to own it and fix what needs to be fixed. Thank you for leaving such a positive and encouraging review. We look forward to many happy years together. Remember to "Enjoy It' and keep asking "What else"!

A Company of Leaders with Vision

Pros

Having been with this company through many stages of development I can vouch for the people running the organization. Most of the leaders truly care not only for the people they serve, but the employees they manage as well. The opportunity for growth is real, recently at a conference we were asked to show how many of us were in a different role since being hired; almost everyone in attendance had been given the opportunity to try something new or have moved up the ranks in their given field. Interactions between departments is encouraged and brings an unexpected feeling of community within the professional setting. Having pillars and the 1440 mission statement of creating the absolute best experience with every person, in every interaction, every minute of every day not only creates a great atmosphere to work in; but creates positivity that carries home and into the rest of the world. The people we serve don't necessarily have the happiest lives, watching them become a part of the community is extremely rewarding.

Cons

One of the pros of this organization is the realization that there are cons and they take measures to better the workplace. That being said I believe there are some things that can be done more efficiently. Communication can be lacking and confusing at times. Due to the rapid growth, new processes are being developed and they aren't always rolled out strategically. The trial and error of finding what works (and doesn't work) for our operations can be drawn out. Pay scales aren't set up to retain/reward hard workers at lower levels of the operation.

Thank you for being such a positive force and voice! We appreciate and value feedback...ALWAYS! It makes a difference to know that while we are doing many things right our employees know that they can be heard. Communication is paramount in a successful company and we are making strides to improve it daily. We value everything you have contributed to our success (and will contribute). Keep letting us know how we are doing and we promise to keep listening!

Pros

This company is on the cutting edge. It's just a matter of time until other company's within this industry will be looking hard at how this business has gotten to the top of its game. I've been with SVM about 4 years and I am impressed at the great changes that have been made. Every day we are coming up with great ideas and implementing those ideas to make the lives of our seniors more peaceful and fulfilling. We give "1440" service (a great experience every minute of every hour everyday). I would suggest that if you don't like to be challenged everyday to push yourself and your fellow workers to be the absolute best you can possibly be, then this company is probably not your best choice. If you want to be on the leading edge of senior services and have the energy to go all out then this may be just the right fit.

Cons

It won't let me "submit" this review until I put at least 5 words in the "cons" section so here goes. As far as I am concerned the pros out weigh the cons, by a lot!
