Pros

Easy to save money on insurance premiums by exercising, etc.

Cons

PTO includes holiday, sick, and vacation pay although you are required to take the holiday off, so therefore holiday pay should be separate because it is not something you can control. They claim flexibility, but it is not at all flexible. Pay is lacking considering how many hours you have to work. There was no contact with HR in the interview process and no exit interview. I got a survey in the mail to fill out for my exit interview. Very impersonal. They are not open to new ideas, they would rather do things the way they have always been done and you should be a robot and do it regardless if you agree or not. No one is happy working there and it shows.

Pros

my coworkers, decent health insurance

Cons

-HR is a joke- I had nothing but problems with them any time I had to work with them, including attempting to get my PTO paid out after I left (still haven't received it because they won't do the paperwork on their end) and trying to get my husband added to my insurance took almost 2 months because they kept losing the forms I sent them, wouldn't return phone calls and emails, and just in general have no idea what they're doing -the organization as a whole does not care about their employees -you can earn a lot of PTO but good luck trying to use it -the hospital "hierarchy" is alive and well here with many, many rude doctors and nurses -the culture is just overall unenjoyable with poor management -took away the option to take holidays unpaid which in effect takes 6 of your PTO days that you were originally guaranteed. -while patient care staff are worked to the bone, admins get to enjoy flexible schedules and company paid for baseball games. -the patients don't matter to management, all they care about is money and are pushing towards worse and worse patient care and just cranking out numbers. -for being "a leader in healthcare" they treat pregnant women and new mothers quite poorly.
