Pros

Some great teams with really smart people.

Cons

Indigo has lost sight of their original mission. Complete lack of knowledge and understanding by senior leadership on how to make a useful or successful product. Focus changes from week to week and no solid plans are ever put in place. The firing of almost the entire R&D team should be a red flag to anyone who thinks this is an innovative company. Read up on the CEO. This is just another retread of his previous failed attempts at creating B2B marketplaces (Chemdex).

Company is a Mess

Business Outlook

Pros

Good pay and good benefits.

Cons

Zero understanding of agriculture, poor leadership, the company leads by fear, goals are astronomical and hardly anyone actually reaches them, poor follow through with growers on doing what they actually say they will, zero transparency, and simply put, a mess to work for and do business with.

Very challenging culture

Pros

Great mission — supporting farmers, environmentally friendly science, etc

Cons

The tone from the top of the organization does not create an environment that encourages employees to share their opinions. There is little debate. The company is fearful of the CEO, and as a result, nobody challenges him. And if you try, you will be crushed. In my opinion, this is a recipe for disaster. It was all okay when the company was making progress, but it is now all falling apart. And what a terrible time to be burning tons of cash and needing to complete another financing.
