A once great company...

Pros

Market leading data management software company with strong market presence and customer base. Solid core products and used to have good people to work with on the front lines.

Cons

Open source software is more agile and Informatica is playing catchup in the big data world. Recent development has been stagnant and some of the tertiary software is quite buggy. Bloated software portfolio makes it difficult to be deep enough in all opportunities. SC's need to rely on specialists. No real opportunities for advancement on the tech side. Hasn't had any real leadership in worlwide field operations in years. Can't trust upper management after being told repeatedly that the company wasn't going to go private. Upper management getting rich off of stock options and stock grants while everyone else fails to benefit from buyout. Equity in the newly private company was not spread to all employees. Only offered to mid-level management and higher. Also, no retention bonuses mean that the company is bleeding experienced and successful people in sales and pre-sales.

An alternate view to consider is that Informatica continues to strengthen its product leadership position in multiple categories. Informatica has been named to the 2015 DBTA 100: The Companies That Matter Most in Data; won the 2015 CODIE Award for Best Data Integration; won 2015 Best New Product in Data Security for Secure@Source; and was named Leader in the Gartner 2015 Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Integration Platform as a Service. According to InformationWeek, “Informatica is no longer just another Salesforce partner. With the advent of the Internet of Things Cloud, it is now Salesforce's primary connectivity partner.” (Babcock, Charles, “Salesforce IoT Cloud Success Rests on Informatica Partnership,” InformationWeek, 09/17/2015) Our goal is to provide career opportunities for employees to grow and advance their careers if possible, though we cannot, of course, promote everyone. We believe our compensation and rewards are highly competitive but yes, the private equity world does have a different model in terms of equity distribution. In terms of our leadership team, I am sorry you feel the way you do. Some uptick in resignations is inevitable at this inflection point in the company’s journey, but we continue to attract great new talent into the company and many tenured and amazing “Informaticans” are still with us as they believe in the opportunity ahead of us and that Informatica is still a great company.

Pros

1. Best compensation package. 2. Competent and friendship team. 3. Capabilities for growth at the begin of career here. 4. High class equipment for daily working activity

Cons

1. Not so comfortable office. In usual style without any zest. But with horizontal bar and kicker game.

Pros

It's people, very capable and focus. Good pay and benefits. Never been in a place where I learned this much.

Cons

No organizational culture. There's a disconnection between whats is said and done: What is said in headquarters in terms of new initiatives, never really realizes on different regions and in the field. With all the ongoing changes, I'n not sure the company will provide the right work environment to retain people and to attract others.

Thank you for your thoughts about working at Informatica. One thing we can assure you is that a lot of thought and planning went into making sure that we will continue to attract great talent, as well as retain people in roles where we all can achieve the ambitious goals we have set for ourselves. While a lot is changing here, some things are not. Our values will remain the same. Our customer-first culture will stay the same. And our collaborative, friendly environment will remain the same. These are the traits that make Informatica special. The decisions we took on certain locations were made with our customers in mind. There are some markets where our partners have the breadth and local resources to support our customers very well. Informatica has historically been – and continues to be – passionately focused on the success of our customers. That is one reason why we have been recognized as #1 in customer service for 9 years’ running and intend to keep that record going. We hope you will choose to embrace the opportunity before us and join us on this exciting next phase of our journey. If there are specific initiatives you feel have not made it from HQ into your region, please contact CHRO Jo Stoner; she would like to learn more about how we can be more effective in ensuring our organizational culture is a positive one for all employees, no matter where they are based.
