Pros

The Ingrams and the CEO make very good long-term decisions for the company. Because they are privately held, they are not chasing "shareholder value" every quarter, so they make decisions for the long haul. Good benefits, and lots of great people work here.

Cons

This can be a rather paternalistic company, and not many women make it up the corporate ladder. It can be hard to move up because not many people quit (which is also a plus because that means it's a good place to work).

Clean and quiet work environment. Seemingly friendly peers. Exercise Room. Very attentive management. Streamlined culture.

Cons

Unpredictability. Lack of independence and freedom. Lack of tolerance for life circumstances. Lack of acknowledgment of skills versus indifferent persons. Lack of African American or Hispanic diversity.

Pros

Great pay. Great management. Great food. And getting to travel up and down the river. Paid 6 months off

Cons

Being away from home for 28 day is hard buy worth it in the end. Not a lot of room for advancement.
