      Great timely benefits but management issues

      Pros

      Benefits are ample and take effect right away and the pay is good. Disciplines do a great job of following through, timely with the participants with care. The program has great potential for support frail elderly people trying to stay in the community.

      Cons

      Management is confused with policies too often or doesn't follow policies. Employees are thrown under the bus for what management or an employee did. Employees state "I feel I need to watch my back." Management does not resolve no breaks and impacted schedules timely and other issues revealed. Unethical issues occurred, with an unknown outcome. A particular staff over steps boundaries and talk down to other staff who was in tears.

      Pros

      Innovage is focused on providing the best possible care for all it's participants. The teams care deeply about the individual participants and helping them live their best possible lives, on their terms. The Company is transparent about PPE and behind the scenes initiatives regarding keeping participants and employees safe, especially in times of COVID. This is a Company that is growing quickly with lots of room for growth.

      Cons

      Be careful when applying for this company. The reviews do not lie. Management doesn't encourage their employees to work together. Instead, they ask them not to collaborate with each other and demand their employees to stay in their "own lanes." Management is petty and will purposely set you up to fail. They cancel meetings last minute, don't reply to emails, and even say they "don't know how to talk to seniors." The job is about helping seniors live independently. Just do your homework about the company thoroughly because if you're not a good fit, they will not offer the resources to help you succeed. If you have another option, take it.
