Pros

Colleagues that are not in management.

Cons

No work life balance. The work place is run like a training center. You have to be okay with being micro managed and attending non-stop meeting. Meetings are never on time with management and sometimes you're blown off. Also, be prepare for spot quizzes that disrupt your work flow. There's no consistency in manpower for the field, so be prepare to be a superintendent, foreman, project engineer and project manager all at once. If you're new, the GM of the company will sit with you at your desk and go through the drawings with you for at least a year and sometimes more.

First HR Manager at Innovo Construction

Pros

Good work environment, lost of opportunities to learn, experiment, grow and improve. As the first HR Manager at Innovo, I had the chance to not only learn a lot about a new industry but also how to run an HR department and keep the company flowing smoothly during a global pandemic. I felt empowered by senior management to implement HR best practices, to develop new training programs and policies. The company has a great culture where senior management is always concerned about developing its employees and teaching them so they can feel confident in making decisions as it is a very fast pace kind of business that asks for nothing more than perfection and innovation. Employees are encourage to share opinions and ideas as well as questioning the status quo proposing better, (cost) effective, efficient solutions. Everyone had to adapt, support and help each other, it was a big team effort where all pieces were equally important. Salary and benefits are fair.

Cons

It was an unprecedent year with the pandemic surrounding everyone from all directions so, some days, it was hard to keep work/life balance (specially senior management) and keep the company running without having to put some extra hours. But, again, it was a total different scenario where things were changing every day in regards to health of employees.

Micromanaging narcissistic Boss Keeps you in small closet sized spaces to work Never satisfied with work Location is in the middle of a poverty stricken area. Boss has cameras everywhere and no regards for privacy. Toxic environment
