Pros
IF you connect with the right manager you can advance quickly and be protected when you produce mediocre work and are inefficient as well as ineffective.
Cons
Soooo many to mention......Many employees are ... (1) not concerned about quality but getting something done. (2)....advanced too early to management. (3)...more concerned about advancing their careers by exposing some issue that that is trival and making it a huge deal. The company itself has no loyalty to it's employees to constantly lay-off and rehire. Moral is low after the recent layoffs in May 2013 because the company lost a major contract and reduced staff by almost 10% yet had a stellar year and made way over budget in 2012. Salaries are below the average for the DC Metro area. Overall benefits are horrible (little PTO - 15 days only including sick/vacation time).
