Pros

Catered lunch, unlimited vacation, a lot of really smart and cool people, potential in product.

Cons

Really awesome place to work for a while but as growth stagnated, the company culture did as well.

I love coming to work

Pros

I really love coming to work every day. For starters, the team is great and I've made a lot of very good friends here. Everyone is really helpful and sharp and it's contagious. You're encouraged to work on the projects that interest and excite you and will come across some fun challenges, as well. A few years ago I was bored at work pretty much daily. I haven't felt that at all in the past 2.5 years. Aside from the working part, we have plenty of free snacks, free lunch every day, and free beer. Ping pong table and hangout space. A bunch of great coworkers who have varied interests if you're looking for an exercise community, people to play games with, foodies to share ideas with, etc. Mingling amongst different teams is encouraged at company-paid social events. Oh, did I mention unlimited vacation? That's a thing. I know you're wondering if that actually gets used. It does. Some managers even email their employees and let them know that they haven't taken enough and should really plan a week away. As long as your responsibilities get covered and you aren't abusing the policy (I've never heard of this happening), you're golden. Go visit your grandma. She loves you.

Cons

Work/life balance can be tricky, but for me it's just a side effect of liking what I do. We're figuring it out with dedicated hires for training, updated roles to assist rapidly-growing teams, and more focus on internal communication. If you find yourself working too much there's usually something you can do to nip that in the bud (decline some meetings, come in a little earlier when there are less distractions, etc.)
