Pros

-Most innovative and differentiated product in industry with by far most upside. -Potential to make bank with stock options. -People here are happiest in industry.

Cons

-Has gotten VERY top heavy. New gang came in and hired all their buddies, all from the same former company. There's now a "VP" of just about anything you can think of. -New leadership seems bright, however they lack crucial diabetes market experience. -More diversity is needed to keep away from previous company group think. -Basic business "fixes" have been implemented, but other diabetes specific solutions are being ignored in favor of copying what they did at the last company-even though this is a very different market and industry. -Motivational efforts have largely fallen flat on the sales side. No connection from new sales leader. Comes across as panicked and especially out of touch when communicating to the field. Does not accept feedback and is not personable (kinda a big deal is sales). Can't just throw cash at it and call it inspiration.

Run Away. Run Far, Far Away!

Pros

The product is a great innovation. Salary and bonus are good until you decide to play the game or not, then it can e sweet or sour, depending on choice.

Cons

Prepare for a Poisonous atmosphere where most middle-management and all the senior management plays the CYA game while back-stabbing, finger pointing, and blaming each other. Morale suffers, and the only happy people are the headhunters who supply the next round of cannon-fodder for the Insulet shredder. The turnover rate, especially in Quality, is stupendous. The product isn't the only thing that Insulet considers to be disposable - so are the employees! The product has a 5% out-of-box failure rate and their solution is to send a new box to anyone who complains, cover up the complaint, and then wonder why they aren't making any money. Hence the "Blame Game" and all the periodic layoffs. The product is made in China so all defects can be handled locally without "Federal" knowledge. Distribute the defects evenly so there's an average 5% failure rate and nobody's the wiser. Play along and you'll get a nice bonus. Don't play and get "laid off." Research their profit and loss before signing on!

Pros

Good product Fairly flexible with schedules Good benefits (with some room for improvement)

Cons

Lots of upper management (2 VPs of HR at the time of writing this, in a company that isn't that big) Little to no room for growth Manufacturing overseas is very frustrating Very little training about how the device actually works.
