Pros

Management - I cannot stress enough how fantastic the management is. Leadership at the very top is astounding and it carries through all management levels. I truly feel heard in both with work-related items, and personal matters. As cliché as it sounds, BRG feels like a family that genuinely cares for one another beyond the Monday-Friday grind. Management is kind, gives tangible advice, and will "have your back." You will need to work hard, but know that everyone wants you to succeed. Hours/Location - 8-5, M-F, Remote. I very rarely work outside of work hours, and this has provided me a good work-life balance. I shut off my computer and don't think about work until the next day. Benefits - Generous health insurance contribution, with the potential for the company to pay 100% of employee's health insurance. 3 weeks of PTO. You are encouraged to enjoy (not made to feel guilty for using) your well-deserved PTO. Collaboration - In my position, I work with every department, which keeps each day interesting. I've never ended a day without learning something new. I have learned A LOT about the ins and outs of subrogation, legal proceedings, and even IT work. I would advise any employee to take the initiative to learn more about other roles. Collaboration is key, and the more you know about other departments, the more successful you will be! Clear Roles - Roles are well-defined, and every process has set guidelines for who is responsible for what. Team members will step up and work what is theirs. There are set, written steps for how to carry out various tasks. Communication - We primarily use email and Teams. Communication is quick, and you don't have to wait days for an email back. This helps processes go more smoothly and gets things off your to-do list. The Work - I really like my job. I find the work interesting since each day is a bit different. I work both client-facing and in the background with health insurance companies and BRG's internal teams. My role is manageable, but varies enough to avoid boredom. We have good internal documentation to keep track of projects, processes, and the ins-and-outs of our daily work. Overall, if you put in the work and you will reap the rewards. Be honest with your manager about any concerns you may have, and you will be heard. Enjoy working with a really awesome team. :)

Cons

There is no manual to teach you how to be "good" at working in subrogation since it is such a niche field. There is a learning curve, and it's something you will pick up over time. You'll need to be attentive and take initiative to ask questions. It's not always black-and-white, but if you put in the effort, it is like riding a bike and it will "click." Remote work is not for everyone. Not so much a con, but a "heads up" that we have a growing book of business, and attention to detail is necessary. This is not an easy job where you can coast along. You will need to identify the the small details, analyze them, and provide recommendations.

Pros

Thry continually give more responsibilities, which is good for career development.

Cons

There’s obvious nepotism- half of the staff has known each other since childhood. That can create uncomfortable situations down the line. Also, the tasks result into micromanaging, which reduces morale. As most jobs release early before holidays, even your biggest companies, BRG does not grant such courtesy.

BRG senior leadership is passionate about receiving and giving feedback that continually improves our work culture, so this post provides the company with valuable insight. We are proud that many of our employees have had a long tenure, leading to promotions with the company. We are continually working on improving our leaders by providing training and professional development opportunities.BRG also offers a generous PTO benefit, with new employees being eligible for up to 120 hours of PTO without a waiting period and up to 10 paid holidays. On occasion, senior management has chosen to close early on holidays, though this should not be an expected practice. We invite employees to utilize their benefits should they desire extra time during a special celebration. Many thanks to our hard and dedicated staff who work to ensure our clients are receiving incredible customer service.

Pros

There aren’t any pros at all.

Cons

Managers and the higher ups are insensitive, manipulative, and just plain rude/fake people. We were told we weren’t allowed to interact with co-workers during the day. That if anyone came to your desk to ignore them and continue your work. Also was told that we were not allowed to go to the restroom unless it was an ‘emergency.’ If you don’t mind being overworked, underpaid, and completely unappreciated then this might be the right place for you.
