Pros

Committed, hard working team mates. Co-workers are supportive and helpful. Mission is clear. Despite the hours (see below) family time and needs are respected. Very family oriented. Genuinely nice people. The work is interesting, challenging and rewarding.

Cons

Consistently understaffed for mission and commitments. Very long hours are a given and depending on level or manager there may or may not be flexibility or comp time. Some grumpy old boys network.

Pros

ICC is an organization that truly cares about its employees and its members. It is a family friendly employer. Offers excellent benefits. ICC's staff and Board are dedicated to public safety; resilient communities; and the well being and health of people. Wonderful members and stakeholders devoted to I-Codes and to their professions. Great grassroots network. Collegial atmosphere. Loyal employees; very low turnover. An organization with integrity. A CEO who cares and knows his employees.

Cons

Time it takes to commute into DC due to congested roads in Northern Virginia and DC area!
